FALL COLORS IN YOSEMITE VALLEY

Fall Colors in Yosemite Valley

Fall Colors!

Yosemite National Park is not as well known for its fall colors as say Acadia in Maine, but for a park that is mostly made up of evergreens, the trees that turn do it with style, self assurance, flair, and breath taking beauty.

Starting in mid October the big-leaf maples, black oaks, Pacific dogwoods, and other deciduous trees, bring a tasteful ornamentation that does not fight with the valley aesthetics but seem to embellish and support the greater wonder and splendor of the park.

Fall is one of the best times to visit Yosemite National Park. The weather is crisp, the crowds are light, and the foliage accentuates a landscape that is both dramatic and spiritually uplifting.
