Starting in mid October the big-leaf maples, black oaks, Pacific dogwoods, and other deciduous trees, bring a tasteful ornamentation that does not fight with the valley aesthetics but seem to embellish and support the greater wonder and splendor of the park.
Fall is one of the best times to visit Yosemite National Park. The weather is crisp, the crowds are light, and the foliage accentuates a landscape that is both dramatic and spiritually uplifting.
