Our lodge is perfect for couples, families and executive retreats. Unusual for most vacation rental homes in the Yosemite West community, the Peregrine Lodge is situated on a rather level area. This means you do not have to negotiate the steep stairs that earmark many nearby houses. Entering the home through a door on the same level as the parking, you will find easy access for the unloading of your luggage. There you will find entry to three guest bedrooms.
Each bedroom has both interior and exterior entries. They each have their own sink and shower, entry to their own private deck area, and a unique and beautiful floor to ceiling fireplace. As an added benefit of the bedrooms being situated on the first level, you will experience privacy from the activity of the upper floor with the great room, dining room, kitchen and loft
This separation and intimate setting makes this home uniquely suited for multiple couples, families or groups to have a space of their own. The unique and cozy rooms are thematic in nature.
The main floor features a living room with a floor to ceiling rock fireplace with a design of Yosemite Falls. The plush and comfortable furniture in the great room will embrace you after a long day of exploring the park.
Tiled floors heated in the winter offer a cozy warm environment in the colder months and nice cool floors in warmer weather. Bench seating which wraps around the room along the windows offer a great place to sit, read or have a favorite drink while you look out at the trees and distant mountains. Read a favorite book or borrow one of the many interesting books available in our library while your cares and concerns fall away. Or plan your next day's adventure with our many books and guides of Yosemite National Park.
The dining room features a redwood dining table, a granite serving bar and lots more windows, a perfect place to share a meal with 8. The kitchen has a large sub zero fridge, a preparation island, granite counter tops, two Bosch dishwashers (for large groups) and loads of cupboards filled with dishes, pots, utensils and basic supplies. For those BBQ chefs in your group, a gas grill is available on the deck right next to the kitchen.
Fall is here and Winter is coming to Yosemite National Park. The crowds have thinned and opportunities for quiet and solitude abound. For those of you who love snow and snow activities, we are very close to the Badger Pass Ski Resort for cross country and downhill skiing.
We stayed at Peregrine Lodge for three days this July 4th, a family of five with three little boys, and we couldn't be happier. The house is very comfortable, in good order, everything works. Charming and well-decorated. Plenty of activities for kids for a rainy day. Beautiful location, conveniently close to everything, yet quiet and secluded. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations in the park. Andrey Morganville, NJ
I am very happy you had a great 4 of July stay. I believe it is worth missing a fireworks display with a few thousand of our closest friends to be in the grander of Yosemite National Park, and I am happy your agree.
Speaking of rainy days, I love it when our visiting families get together and play board games, work on puzzles together, or play pool. The family time together is precious, and not easily achieved during our day to day schedules.
Our guests have voiced over and over, (especially the parents) that they really enjoy the opportunity to slow down, put away the electronic devices, and spend time together with family. Thank you for taking the time to post your review.
Beautiful accommodations, great reception, well thought out quest experience, absolutely amazing time. Beats staying at the Awhanee.
Thank you so much for your review. Being compared to the Ahwahnee hotel, really put a smile on our faces. For those of you who cannot find the Ahwahnee in the Yosemite National Park directory it is because it is now called the Majestic Yosemite Hotel, thanks to some underhanded dealings of the last park concessionaire. Locals and long time repeat visitors to the park still call it the Ahwahnee and probably always will.
As we are a niche market, that is offering a home inside a National Park it is important for us to do what we can to differentiate our selves from the normal hotel experience. I believe that no matter what level of hotel you stay in, from motel to a 5 star resort, no hotel room can compare to having an entire home that is yours to stay. Also, having the personal interaction with an owner over an employee of a large corporation I believe makes a tremendous difference in the guests experience.
Donald thank you so much for your comments. We love to travel as well, and when we have an exceptional experience on vacation it motivates us to find a way to take what made it special to us, and to blend it into the lodge experience here if at all possible. Hearing remarks like yours makes all the hard work worth it. Thank you for being great guests, and taking the time to post a review!
Home was outstanding. David the owner was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. Went above and beyond in order to make sure we were taken care of. Would recommend the home to anyone, you won't be disappointed. One improvement would be to have basic cable channels in the bedrooms, only able to play DVD's. However there is a TV in the great room with basic cable.
Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to post a review. I am happy you had a great time here. I always appreciate helpful suggestions and ideas from our guests. We actually started out with TV reception in all bedrooms, but over time found that the TV use in the bedrooms did not justify the high cost of adding them to our plan. As you pointed out we do have s players in all bedrooms for personal entertainment. Even so, I am attentive to our guests desires, and if I have more comments regarding the TV, I will revisit our decision. Thank you again for your wonderful review and for being great guests.
